Washington Information
Located in the Pacific Northwest, Washington state is composed of two distinct terrains separated by the Cascade Mountain range. The western, coastal portion of the state contains beaches and lush green rain forests, while the eastern section is a mostly barren, semi-arid desert. Washington is home to several volcanoes, including Mount Rainier, which is considered the most dangerous volcano in the continental United States, as well as the highest point in the state. Washington State is a cultural hub, with thriving art and music scenes, including Native American arts, and is known for its coffee.
