Oregon Information
Oregon boasts natural beauty and many geographic features, including the volcanoes of the Cascade Mountains, waterfalls, beaches, evergreen forests, and the Columbia River. Mount Hood, Oregon’s highest point, offers the longest ski season on the continent, while Crater Lake, Oregon’s only National Park, is the deepest lake in the country, and Hell’s Canyon is North America’s deepest river gorge. As part of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon served as a destination for early explorers searching for the Northwest Passage, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, as well as fur trappers and other travelers along the Oregon Trail.
