Arkansas Information
The various geographic features of Arkansas, including the Mississippi River, Ozark Mountains, forests, waterfalls and caves, have given the state its nickname: the Natural State. Little Rock, Arkansas's capital, is located in the middle of the state at the junction of the mountains and the delta. Little Rock is home to museums, Civil War history, and the Clinton Presidential Library, as well as Clinton's childhood home. In the Ozarks, a distinct culture formed, producing unique folklore, square dances and folk music that showcased the fiddler as an important part of local music and the community itself.
